Robin Thicke's summer smash, "Blurred Lines," featuring T.I. and Pharrell, has catapulted his career to new heights.
On the heels of the comedy video that has former President Bill Clinton seeming to cover his hit single, Thicke's dance record remains at number one on Billboard's Hot Digital Songs chart. The party anthem sold an additional 340,000 downloads, with total sales now over 3.6 million.
In addition, Robin's title track marks his first song to top of the Billboard Hot 100, and his first ever to hit one million downloads.
As he prepares for the release of his upcoming album, Blurred Lines, Robin recently engaged in live Twitter Q&A with fans via iTunes Music. When asked what he hopes fans take away from the new disc, the singer revealed, "I want people to feel good, escape, dance and love each other."
Robin also described his songwriting process for Blurred Lines as "whatever I'm going through at that moment." He adds that he hopes to one day collaborate with Dr Dre and Kanye West.
Blurred Lines will be available on July 30. Meanwhile, ABC News Radio has confirmed with Interscope Records that the singer's next single will be his Kendrick Lamar-assisted tune, titled "Give It 2 U."
